2022 Volkswagen Jetta Exterior

What's New for the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta?

The Jetta gets a little redesign, with new exterior styling, new standard and optional features, and a Taos engine improvement. The old Jetta's engine was replaced with a 158-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.

Furthermore, the R-Line trim level is being phased out in favor of the Sport model. In addition to its unusual design, it sports 17-inch wheels and an electrically locked front differential. Autonomous emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring are now included on the S model.

2022 Jetta Trims & Features

The Volkswagen Jetta 2022 comes in four trim levels: S, Sport, SE, and SEL

The Jetta S has power-adjustable side mirrors, LED headlights and taillights with auto-off. App-Connect, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard features. A rearview camera is optional. Blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, and automated emergency braking are standard.

The Jetta Sport trim level's features begin with those of the S trim level. Black exterior trim and a headliner are among the features. 17-inch black aluminum wheels and an electronically controlled locking differential are other highlights.

Only the automatic gearbox is offered on the Jetta SE. Keyless entry and start, heated front seats, and automatic climate control are standard. Active Blind Spot Monitoring (ABSM) and adaptive cruise control are standard on the SE.

The SEL comes standard with 2022 LED headlights, adaptive headlights, and ambient lighting. Hot heater washer nozzles are included with the Cold Weather Package as standard. In addition, it has a nine-speaker BeatsAudio system and Bluetooth App-Connect.

Volkswagen Jetta Horsepower 2022

In each Jetta, a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, with an eight-speed automatic transmission optional.

It's too early to tell how the new engine compares to the old one, but we'll know soon enough. Despite its gentle and quiet ride, the sedan's light steering seems smooth but lacks accuracy.

Going around roundabouts in the Jetta, which leans into sharp turns when driven faster than the speed limit, is seldom enjoyable. Those who favor leisurely travel, on the other hand, would appreciate its tranquil atmosphere.

Jetta Volkswagen Safety

Adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist are offered as options on the Jetta. Some of the most critical safety elements are as follows: • Pre-collision warning and automatic emergency braking
 • Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic warning
 • Adaptive cruise control, as well as stop-and-go capabilities
