What's New for the 2022 Volkswagen Arteon?
Significant updates were made to VW's flagship luxury sedan. Not only does the 2022 Volkswagen Arteon receive an upgraded powertrain with more power, but it also now comes standard with a sharp-looking R-Line appearance package. Furthermore, wireless phone charging and parking sensors have been added to the Arteon's list of standard equipment.
2022 Arteon Trims & Features
When shopping for a new 2022 Volkswagen Arteon, you will have three feature-packed trims to choose from. Even the entry-level SE R-Line trim is genuinely luxurious. Volkswagen's modern MIB3 Discover Pro Navigation system features an 8.0-inch color touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration. Another cool feature is the sedan's Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro gauge cluster, which can display high-resolution driving maps. Other standard amenities include keyless access with push-button start, 12-way power front seats, and three-zone automatic climate control.
Another step up the trim ladder is the leather-appointed Arteon SEL R-Line. Just a few of its upgrades include a panoramic sunroof, remote start, and adaptive cruise control.
Atop the range sits the SEL Premium R-Line trim. While music fans will love its powerful Harman Kardon premium sound system, a driver's seat massage function allows you to experience more relaxation on the road. Other goodies include an Overhead View Camera, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a power liftgate. Larger 20-inch alloy wheels also bring an especially aggressive stance.

2022 Volkswagen Arteon Horsepower.
The Arteon returns for 2022 with a more exciting powertrain. Its turbocharged four-cylinder engine has been revised to produce substantially more power. Output has increased to 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. To further enhance the Arteon's performance capabilities, Volkswagen installed a new seven-speed DSG automatic transmission with Sport mode. Drivers can look forward to experiencing noticeably stronger acceleration. While front-wheel drive comes standard, VW's 4MOTION AWD system is optional.
Volkswagen Arteon Safety
The new Arteon is engineered to inspire drivers with complete confidence. Front Assist and a Bind Spot Monitor come standard throughout the lineup. Meanwhile, available Travel Assist makes highway driving less stressful by actively keeping the Arteon in its lane and ensuring a safe following distance. Park Assist is found on the range-topping SEL Premium R-Line trim, thus enabling the sedan to practical park itself.
