2021 Volkswagen Atlas

What's New For the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas?

The Volkswagen Atlas arrives with some new and notable changes in 2021. The latest Atlas builds on the original Atlas from 2018 with contemporary styling updates and a refreshed interior. The new Atlas looks a bit different from front to back with new headlights and a restyled front grille. The updated exterior is matched with a slight cabin refresh that brings additional safety and technology features on all Atlas trim levels.

With eight variants to choose from, there are plenty of notable features for every taste and budget. While there are aesthetic and tech changes on the Atlas this year, the mechanical system is mostly a carryover from 2020. You'll still have a choice of two gasoline engines and two drivetrains.

2021 Atlas Trims & Features

The first in a series of Atlas trim levels is the S. The S includes 18-inch alloy wheels. It also gets restyled headlights with LED bulbs. The second row of seats has a split-folding design, while the third row splits and folds entirely down to make level cargo space. The technology package includes a 6.5-inch display and a six-speaker sound system. WiFi is standard, and there are Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Wireless charging capabilities and an eight-inch touchscreen are standard on the SE.

It also gets a power-operated driver's seat and three zones of climate control. An SE variant with technology adds 20-inch wheels and captain's chairs, and the Technology trim features gray wheels and restyled trim on the doors. A panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, and navigation are added to the SEL. The R-Line variant has 21-inch wheels. The SEL Premium gets leather upholstery and heated back row seats. The Premium R-Line has the same interior amenities and bold R-Line styling.
