This rating is in regards to the service appointment I had for 30 DEC 2024 at 10:30 AM for a 2023 Atlas Cross Sport. There was a recall on this vehicle (69PZ). When I made the appointment, I was told that the recall would take 5 to 6 hours and I should show up to the dealership between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. I was told the vehicle would be given a 20,000 mile service, mostly due to the age of the vehicle, since it still had less than 10,000 miles. The 20,000 mile service should have included the following: Related requested service [Primary]: 20KW : PERFORM A 20K CARE FREE MAINTENANCE SERVICE INCLUDING:LUBE OIL & FILTER,ROTATE TIRES,SET TIRE PRESSURE,REPLACE POLLEN FILTER AND FUEL FILTER (TDI ONLY): PERFORM A 20K CARE FREE MAINTENANCE SERVICE INCLUDING:LUBE OIL & FILTER,ROTATE TIRES,SET TIRE PRESSURE,REPLACE POLLEN FILTER AND FUEL FILTER (TDI ONLY). However, Christian told me that the 20,000 mile service was only an oil change and a cabin air filter change. He recommended that I get my tires rotated and balanced, but that would cost an extra $230.00 (approximate dollar amount). According to the 20,000 mile description, should the tire rotation and all other things previously mentioned in the 20,000 mile description have already been included? My understanding was, that this was already paid for when we initially purchased the vehicle. This is something I did not realize until after the fact. When I first checked in, sometime after 9:00 AM, Christian asked if I was going to wait for the vehicle, which I said I was going to - I had plenty of reading material, and there is a mall behind the dealership. Christian warned me that it was going to take some time, but I was fine with that. Perhaps my vehicle might be ready earlier than expected, and he had my phone number in case I was at the mall when and if this happened. After some reading and a trip to the mall for window shopping and a bite to eat, I returned to the VW dealership and asked for a status update, as there was no information on the link text messaged to my phone. Christian checked and told me that my vehicle was only then being brought into the shop! This was around 2:00 PM. Christian told me that a manager crossed out my decision to wait for the vehicle. Sure enough, there was a large red mark on the invoice showing something blocked out. At that time, some men entered a glass door office for a meeting. Christian told me that this decision was made by a manager and they were now all in a meeting. The work could have been done by that time, and I could have gone home at around 2:00 PM, or even earlier, but instead the work was only beginning, for a 10:30 AM appointment! Christian then told me that the individual who would be doing the work was fast. The work was finished just before 4:00 PM. I was also informed that I would not be getting a car wash because the car wash was broken. Par for the course! So, the vehicle servicing and the recall only took about two hours??? I could have been out of there by 12:30 PM for a 10:30 appointment? Is that what I am understanding? I suppose if I am only getting an oil change and a cabin air filter change, instead of the full 20,000 mile service that I thought I was suppose to get, I guess it shouldn't take all that long. So much for any real apologies. So much for making it up to me for needlessly wasting more of my time. So much for doing a full service on my vehicle. So much for, "hey, let us make it up to you," or "let us make it right". I am utterly appalled at the service I received on December 30th! And to think that I gave such a good review when we initially purchased our 2023 Atlas; I think maybe I need to go back and rethink and rewrite my earlier review.

My last car purchase took over 3 weeks to negotiate. It was soo stressful. This purchase was perfect!! The sales person Jeff did NOT try to sell me a car. Instead he helped me purchase the car. He helped with discussing the pros and cons of each model I was interested in. Then after selecting the correct vehicle for my needs he allowed the upper Manager Brandon to make the pricing attractive for me to make my purchase decision. This purchase is my 131st car purchase since I started driving. This was by far the best experience I've had at a New car Dealership to date!!

Hola!
