2021 Volkswagen Passat Exterior

What's New For the 2021 Volkswagen Passat?

The Volkswagen Passat was essentially redesigned in 2020, which means there are no significant changes for 2021. However, there are some minor changes to specific trim levels, and the lineup is shorter this year with the elimination of the SEL trim level. The Passat S gets a touch of luxury this year with a leather-wrapped gear shift knob, emergency brake handle, and steering wheels. The SE upgrades to prominent 18-inch alloy wheels this year. The previously available sunroof is now standard. More features are added to the R-Line, which is now the top trim, including navigation and a premium Fender sound system. All trims have more to offer in addition to these notable changes.

2021 Passat Trims & Features

The first trim level in the Passat lineup is the S. Along with a more luxurious interior this year, the S also comes with standard LED lighting and 17-inch wheels for an attractive and head-turning exterior. The interior has plenty of room for five people. Cloth seats are standard on the S. Technology includes a six-inch infotainment display that supports Android Auto, Bluetooth, and Apple CarPlay. There are also a handful of standard safety features on the S.

Moving up the SE adds even more features. The sunroof, previously optional, is now standard. The SE also gets heated front seats and its seating material upgrades to simulated leather upholstery. The driver's seat is power-adjustable, and dual-zone climate control is standard. The R-Line tops the list with larger 19-inch alloy wheels and custom sporty accents for the exterior. It also has a multi-function instrument display. More safety features are added. The interior gets upgraded leather upholstery and a nine-speaker sound system. Heated rear seats are available.
