Volkswagen Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
Let's talk about your vehicle's dashboard lights. These can help you identify safety and service issues. The following 10 indicators are common in today's Volkswagens.

Airbag Fault
Bring your Volkswagen in for service as soon as possible after this indicator appears. It signifies a fault in your airbag system. Until we repair this, your airbags may malfunction during deployment.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
If your VW's dash shows you this light, find a gas station soon. The amount of remaining fuel that prompts this light varies by model, so check your owner's manual.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
Low oil pressure can significantly harm your engine. Usually, two things can create low oil pressure: not enough oil or a faulty oil pump. Do not drive your VW until you fix this problem.

Service Vehicle Soon
Your VW has a minor service need if this light appears. The need might be periodic maintenance, or it could be a relatively small repair. Contact our service professionals at Orlando VW South. We are happy to assist in keeping your vehicle healthy.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
When your TPMS sensors detect low air pressure in your tires, they light this indicator. Check and adjust your tires to the air level recommended for your VW model. You'll find that level on your driver's doorjamb and in your owner's manual. If you still see this light on your dash after continuing your drive, your sensors may be faulty.

Slip Indicator
Your VW monitors your traction and stability. If you lose either, your model's traction-restoring components will engage. Your slip indicator will flash, too. When the indicator remains on for a prolonged period, your traction system may need service.

Charging System Warning Light
The charging system sustains your battery's charge. If this light appears, the charging system has a mechanical or electrical problem. Our team can assess and fix any charging-system issue.

Brake System
Let this light prompt you to schedule immediate brake-system service. Your brake lines may be leaking, and you could lose pressure. We urge you not to drive until you get your brake system professionally serviced.

Open Door Warning Light
This helpful indicator reminds you to secure your Volkswagen's doors before you travel. If a door doesn't shut, it may be obstructed.

Coolant Level Warning
Your VW's engine, like any other, needs special coolant. When the engine coolant becomes low, this light warns you. Fix this problem before you rerun your engine. Even with slow leaks, a coolant-system repair is the best way to avoid potentially destroying your engine with excessive heat.
