What's New for the 2018 Volkswagen Passat?

Having been a long time staple in the midsize sedan category, the 2018 VW Passat hits the market with new features that enhance the vehicle for the future. Starting under the hood, the 2018 Passat features a new base engine in the 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged 4-cylinder. VW also is releasing a new People First Warranty in the 2018 Passat, which includes a 6-year,72,000-mile warranty that covers all pieces of the car's powertrain. The warranty is also transferable to any new owners down the road if the vehicle is sold. Last, VW is releasing the Passat GT for those customers looking for a high-performance car with a 3.6-liter, V6 engine and additional stylish trim.

XXThe 2018 VW Passat is available to consumers in many trim packages to help suit each individual's needs in a midsize sedan. The trim packages include the S, the R-line, the SE, the SE with Technology, the SEL Premium and the V6 SEL Premium.

The 2018 VW Passat lineup is stocked full of great available features in the car. On the interior, available leather seating and a premium Fender audio system make the ride both fun and smooth. The new Passat also features an available keyless push-button start. With over three feet of rear leg room in the back, passengers in the back are sure to be comfortable as well. For the technologically advanced customer, the new Passat has an app connect system, compatible with both Apple and Android products, for the driver to connect their smartphone and apps directly to the vehicle. This is connected through a touchscreen system on the dash with the available navigation system as well.

The 2018 Passat also features a tire pressure monitoring system and automatic post-collision braking system. The Passat has a blind spot monitoring system available to assist the drivers with a warning in the side mirrors and steering wheel vibration. Lane Assist is also available to help sense if the vehicle is starting to drift into another lane of traffic.
