Specs at a Glance

The ID.4 has some delightful new amenities from Volkswagen, and it's also the automaker's first foray into the territory of all-electric vehicles. The ID.4 is offered in three trim levels that don't resemble other Volkswagen models' lineups. The ID.4 is a spacious SUV with about as much interior room as you'll get with the Tiguan, which is one of the brand's most popular SUVs. The Volkswagen ID.4 will also please anyone who has fuel efficiency on their minds, as it gets about 250 miles of electric range. Along with these impressive shared features, there are other trim-specific amenities to note for the ID.4, too.

Performance

The Volkswagen ID.4 has one mechanical configuration for 2021, which is an electric motor that provides power through the back wheels. The motor system generates a maximum of 201 HP and nearly 230 LB-FT of torque. The electric motor has no shortage of zip either, with the ability to power the Volkswagen from 0-60 in under eight seconds. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and the Volkswagen can tow up to 2,700 pounds.

Appearance

A sharp exterior is a highlight of both ID.4 models. The Pro starts with 19-inch wheels that have a dazzling two-tone alloy finish. The wheels are matched with all-season tires, and you can get a nice metallic paint color for the finishing touches. The Volkswagen comes with a fixed glass sunroof as well. Additional accents across the body add to its appeal, including black trim on the wheel wells. LED brake lights are standard on the Pro, and it also has fog lamps. The 1st Edition has fully automatic headlights and cornering lights as well. It also gets a power liftgate. Approach lights are also included on this trim level.

Features

There are many features on both ID.4 trims to look forward to. The Pro has a 12-inch touchscreen display with voice control and wireless charging for compatible devices. A WiFi hotspot is included. While cloth seats are standard with the Pro, the 1st Edition gets leather seats instead. It also comes with two LCD monitors. Both trim levels have split-folding back seats and multi-way adjustable seats for the driver and front passenger. Heated seats are standard from the Pro up.
